“The Legend of the Wizard’s Apprentice” Which was published on 20Jan2014 and how it came to be. I have always loved being creative, whether it was drawing, colouring, or writing. I have always felt the need to express myself in one form or another. Just like most kids from my era, I used to play Dungeons and Dragons. I can almost hear the audible groans from those people that will read this. I know that some people looked at this game as a waste of time, and even a few thought that it was the work of the guy with a pointy tail, and horns. But I look at the kids today, and I wish they still played these types of “imagination games.” I feel that playing these types of roll playing games did three incredible things for me. The first thing it did for me was, I learned how to socialize and interact with other kids my own age. Unlike today where you see all of the kids on their phones, and I’m not so sure they would even know how to talk to one another anymore without them. The second thing that it did for me was, because it wasn’t a computer game, TV screen, or something that you could physically reach out and touch. It really enhanced my own imagination and creativity, it helped me grow into the person that I have become today, a stronger person who can think for myself, and chose which of life’s hectic paths to take. The third thing that it did for me was, it opened up my eyes to the wonderful world of reading books. Every time I read a new book, I entered a new world ready and waiting to be explored. Not only did I find it incredibly relaxing and entertaining, but I found that it gave me a place where I could escape reality, even if it was only for a short while. Looking back now at how everything came to be, I realized that I rushed to publish my book, and I wish I could do a “do over.” I guess because I never thought that it would do as well as it had, I did not have it edited multiple times, or done by a “Professional Editor”. I had friends and family do the editing and check for mistakes. Without having that critical eye of professional, things were missed. The main reason why I rushed to get it out at the time was that I had surgery on 12Dec2013. Unfortunately everything just seemed to go wrong from there for me. I ended up becoming deathly ill from my relatively routine operation, and I almost did not make it to see the New Year. I was rushed back to St. Joseph's hospital in London Ontario on 28Dec2013 as I had become severely septic, and they needed to look after the infection that was raging throughout my body. The Dr. had even told my wife that if they had gotten me there even one day later, he would not have guaranteed my outcome. So with that being said, my book was published through Bookbaby.com. When I first started this incredible journey, I had never in my wildest dreams thought that I would have ever sold even fifty copies of my book. Let alone that I have sold almost all one hundred paperback copies that I had made; and almost thirteen hundred e-books. Presently I am having my first book revised to edition 2, and I am almost finished writing my second book in the series. I am hoping to have edition 2 re-published, and back out on the web by March 2015, and I am hoping to have The Legend of the Wizard’s Apprentice, “Book 2 - Kerwyn the Wizard” out on the market by June 2015. Once I have everything edited and fixed up to where I am happy with it. I will have some printed books made, and have them available for sale locally. My e-book is presently available for sale at Amazon for Kindle, iBooks, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Copia, Scribd, Baker & Taylor, eSentral, Flipkart, Oyster, Ciando and many others. You can also buy it direct from Bookbaby at, http://my.bookbaby.com/book/the-legend-of-the-wizards-apprentice# Thank you to everyone out there for your support and for allowing me the opportunity, to bring my dream to life during my journey to becoming a published Author Best Regards, Mike Ezekiel
